The risk of the use of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons is rising as a result of the “destructive” policies of the United States and its allies, according to Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev on Wednesday. “The decline in international security is the inevitable outcome of the United States’ damaging policies,” President Vladimir Putin’s close ally Patrushev was cited by state news agency TASS as saying. “The risk that nuclear, chemical and biological weapons will be used is increasing,” Patrushev stated. “The international arms control regime has been undermined.” (With agency inputs)
