A court in Romania has halted a human trafficking case against misogynistic influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan.
After flagging irregularities in the prosecutors’ case last month, the court has not sent the case back to prosecutors. The court has given prosecutors five days to file the case again or let it die.
Two Romanian women are also accused in the case along with Tate siblings.
Andrew Tate is a leading figure of the anti-women, far-right, misogynistic world. He and his brother Tate run a series of businesses and are accused of sexually exploiting women. Through their businesses, they are accused of grooming women to perform sex work and holding them hostage to forcibly produce pornography. They are also accused of rape and human trafficking in Romania and the United Kingdom.
Earlier this week, a British court on Wednesday (December 18) separately ruled in favour of the police who were seeking the seizure of Tate brother’s bank accounts for tax evasion on income to the tune of around £21 million.
What’s this case against Andrew Tate?
The court said that it had identified problems in “the manner of presenting the factual situation and describing the constitutive elements in the case” against the two women accused, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL).
The court further said that Andrew Tate’s right to a defence was violated in the way he was informed of the accusation of human trafficking regarding one of the alleged victims, as per RFE/RL.
The prosecutors had identified seven women who were sexually exploited “forcibly, in order to obtain significant financial benefits” for the four accused from people who accessed content on social media, according to RFE/RL.
In their case against Tate brothers, as per RFE/RL, the prosecutors charged Tate brothers of recruiting women victims for producing pornography by seducing them and claiming they wanted a relationship or marriage with them.

More ShortsThe prosecutors charged that these women victims were instead taken to properties outside Bucharest where they were subjected to physical violence and psychological abuse and were forced into producing pornography.
Later, the prosectors also accused the Tate brothers of forming an organised crime group, trafficking of minors, a sexual act with a minor, influencing statements, and money laundering, according to RFE/RL.
Andrew Tate’s history of anti-women behavior
Even if Andrew Tate and brother Tristan are acquitted in the current case, they will not walk free.
Instead, the Tate siblings will be extradited to the United Kingdom where they are facing rape and human trafficking cases, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The British police have an international arrest warrant for Tate siblings over rape and human trafficking during 2012-15, as per the newspaper.
Andrew Tate is a self-avowed misogynist who calls himself “king of toxic masculinity”. He is a leading figure in the far-right manosphere on the internet.
In addition of his degrading views on women, Andrew Tate is also a follower of Hitler and former Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. He has hailed both of them publicly. He is also a homophobic and compares acts of sleeping soundly and lack of stress to being gay in a derogatory manner.
Over the years, Andrew Tate has preached that women deserve to be beaten if they complain when a male partner cheats in a relationship. He has also said that women should remain at home tied to men and produce kids, don’t drive, bear responsibility for being raped, and that men should be allowed to do whatever they like with them, including rape, if they flag their cheating.
Despite such a behaviour, Andrew Tate is one of the most popular figures on the internet — particularly among young men. Last year, a YouGov survey found that 26 per cent of young British men agreed with him. To get an idea of the kind of views they agree with, consider this: Andrew Tate posted earlier this week that “all women are soft prostitutes”.
“Being surrounded by hot girls isnt a flex anymore because everybody knows all women are soft prostitutes and money is easy to make. ‘Im not a hooker I just need a boyfriend who pays for my entire life and spoils me’ Youre a hooker with one customer bich shut up. (sic),” said Andrew Tate on X.
