During the two-day visit, President Putin will meet Prime Minister Modi for discussions on the full spectrum of bilateral ties. President Droupadi Murmu will also receive the Russian President and host a banquet in his honour.

According to the MEA, the summit will give both leaders an opportunity to review progress in the India–Russia partnership, chart a roadmap to further strengthen the “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership,” and exchange views on regional and global issues of shared interest.

Officials said the discussions will centre on the current state of the partnership and plans to further enhance the long-standing ties between the two countries.

“The forthcoming State Visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of India and Russia to review progress in bilateral relations, set the vision for strengthening the ‘Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership’, and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest,” the MEA said in an official statement.
