Four Proud Boys leaders who were pardoned after being found guilty of attempting to keep President Donald Trump in office after losing the election to Joe Biden filed a lawsuit against the government on Friday, seeking $100 million.

“The Plaintiffs bring this suit to seek redress for the multiple violations of their constitutional rights,” according to the paperwork.

The complaint was filed in Florida by Henry ‘Enrique’ Tarrio, the former head of the far-right group, and Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, and Ethan Nordean, all of whom played leadership positions, as well as Dominic Pezzola.

Tarrio was convicted of crimes including seditious conspiracy for his involvement in organising the Capitol riot that attempted to prevent Congress from certifying Biden’s electoral victory against Trump in 2020. He was ordered to spend 22 years in jail.

Biggs, Rehl, and Nordean all held senior positions in the Proud Boys and were convicted with Tarrio for seditious conspiracy and other offences.

Pezzola was accused of assaulting former Capitol Police Officer Mark Ode by snatching his riot shield and smashing a window in the Capitol.

All four received prison sentences.

On the first day of his return office in 2025, Trump issued a sweeping clemency order, granting pardons to almost all of the more than 1,500 defendants who stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 and issuing sentence commutations to 14 others.
