Four persons were hurt in separate gunshot incidents in Karachi on Sunday, one of which was a local journalist. Reporter Shoaib Burney of a private news station was hurt when gunmen on Rashid Minhas Road opened fire on his car. The perpetrators are still at large. It is now stated that his condition is stable after he was brought to the hospital immediately. Many people were injured in three separate shooting incidents that happened in different parts of Karachi as a result of resistance to robbery. As per ARY News, the incidents took place at Azizabad, Liaquatabad, and the Site Superhighway. In all three instances, the armed attackers fled without incident. The status of law and order in Karachi is still deteriorating. A young girl was killed on Sunday in Karachi’s Mominabad neighborhood when a stray gunshot entered her home. The girl who has passed away has been identified as Aqsa Khalid, six years old. Her father claims that when the incident occurred, they were inside their home eating. Meanwhile, in Karachi’s Surjani Town, a dad and his son were severely hurt while attempting to thwart robbery; the youngster later died from his wounds. This occurs in the wake of a recent spike in street crimes in Karachi. According to the authorities, the father was still receiving treatment even though the son passed away from his wounds. The incident happened when the deceased and his father were robbed while traveling to a wedding. In Karachi, there have been other instances of robbery and street crime before this one. According to Dawn, which cited a study, almost one-fourth of the city’s population has directly suffered the loss of life, and nearly two-thirds of the population has experienced such incidents in one way or another. As a result of the increase in crime rates in Karachi, Pakistan, the locals are experiencing fear psychosis and a sense of insecurity. The study found that Karachi residents found the city’s rising crime rates to be concerning.
