President Asif Ali Zardari and Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Wednesday reiterated their commitment to strengthen Pakistan and China’s all-weather strategic cooperative partnership during a meeting in Doha.
The discussions took place on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development, being held in Qatar’s capital from November 4 to 6, where Zardari is representing Pakistan and holding bilateral meetings with several attending leaders.
In a statement issued by the President’s Office, both sides pledged to further deepen cooperation built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for peace and prosperity in the region. They also agreed to continue working closely on matters of common concern in regional and global forums.
Referring to his recent visit to Beijing, Zardari described Pakistan and China as “iron brothers,” expressing gratitude for China’s steadfast support through difficult times. He reaffirmed that Islamabad’s friendship with Beijing remains a central pillar of its foreign policy.

Han conveyed warm greetings from President Xi Jinping and reaffirmed the enduring strength of the Pakistan-China friendship. He appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and promoting regional peace and stability.
