Islamabad: At least six soldiers and 20 militants were killed in a gunbattle in Pakistan’s tribal area of Orakzai Agency on Saturday, media reported.
An intelligence tip-off led to security forces conducting an operation against the suspected militants in Orakzai Agency on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Xinhua reported citing ARY News.
20 militants were killed, while six soldiers also lost their lives in the fire exchange. The clash also left three soldiers injured.

The military did not officially confirm the clash. The identities of the dead militants have also not been revealed by the security forces.
