Ohio prosecutor says no charges against mother in gorilla case | Reuters

The mother of the 3-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo will not be charged, Hamilton County, Ohio prosecutor Joseph Deters said on Monday in a news conference.

A 17-year-old endangered western lowland silverback gorilla named Harambe was shot and killed by Cincinnati Zoo staff on May 28 in order to rescue the boy. The killing of Harambe triggered intense criticism of the zoo and the boy's parents.
