The Calbuco volcano in southern Chile erupted twice in a span of a few hours on Wednesday, initiating the authorities to declare a red alert and evacuated more than 4,000 people within a 20km (12 mile) radius, reports the BBC. Reuters[/caption] The volcano had been dormant for the past 42 years, and the eruption billowed a huge ash cloud over a sparsely populated, mountainous area. But amidst all the chaos, breathtaking time lapse videos of the event were uploaded on YouTube. The videos display the sheer force of the earth, terrifying and beautiful at the same time.
