Nice attack: Rihanna is 'safe' and in the city; concert stands cancelled

Rihanna was due to perform on Friday in Nice, and was in the city on Thursday when the deadly attack occurred.

On late Thursday, after a fireworks show in Nice to celebrate Bastille Day, a massive truck drove into a crowd of people along the Promenade des Anglais. Rihanna's show was booked at the Allianz Stadium in Nice for Friday, but her concert now stands cancelled, reports E! news.

Former Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi tweeted about it:

The English translation for the tweet: Tomorrow the city flags will be at half mast. After the cancellation of Rihanna's concert, the jazz festival is cancelled.

Rihanna posted about it on her Instagram account as well:

The singer is still in Nice and is trying to figure out a way to get out safely. France in now under terror alert for the next 30 days.
