Minnesota man sentenced 15 years for attempting to aid Islamic State - local media | Reuters

A Somali-American man in Minnesota was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday for conspiring to support the Islamic State militant group, according to local media. Hamza Ahmed, 21, was sentenced by senior U.S. District Judge Michael Davis at a Minnesota courthouse, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Ahmed is one of three men scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday for attempting to help Islamic State in 2014 and early 2015.
