US President Donald Trump on Friday gave marriage advice to the Macrons after a video showed French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife shoving his face near a plane door, saying, “Make sure the door remains closed.”
The president, however, highlighted that things are fine between Macron and his wife Brigitte. When asked about his comments on the incident during a press conference with Elon Musk, Trump said, “That was not good. I spoke to him. He’s fine. They’re fine. They’re two really good people. I know them very well.”

“I don’t know what that was all about,” he added.
The incident was filmed just as the door of the French presidential plane swung open after landing in Hanoi on Sunday.
It showed Brigitte Macron, 72, sticking out both her hands and giving her husband’s face a shove. Macron, 47, appeared startled but quickly recovered and turned to wave through the open door.
The incident was downplayed by the French president himself, who dismissed speculations that the couple were having trouble at home. He blamed disinformation campaigns for trying to put a false meaning on the footage.

View AllMacron later explained to reporters that the moment caught on camera was not serious, saying that he and his wife Brigitte were “squabbling and, rather, joking.” The couple, who have been married since 2007 after meeting at the high school where he was a student and she a teacher, were simply joking, he said.
