A social media story doing the rounds which says that a Chinese child drew all over his dad’s passport, thus leaving him stranded in South-Korea, is likely fake,
says Kotaku. According
to news reports, “a four-year-old Chinese child left his father stranded after he scribbled all over the dad’s passport when the two were on a trip to South Korea. The child used the passport as a colouring book and coloured into his father’s eyes, and drew him whiskers and a beard.” You can check out the photo of the coloured passport

according to Kotaku, which notes that the drawings could not have been by a four-year-old. The report notes that a four-year old’s motor skills would not be so good, “unless the child was advanced for his or her age.” It also goes on to note that, “Closer examination of the markings reveals that the ‘ink’ remains constant in thickness. If you’ve ever dealt with MS Paint, these lines should be familiar.” According to Kotaku, the story propped up on popped up on China’s social networking platform Weibo last month and spread on from then. Sorry folks. You can stop awwing at this story.
