While at least four Americans were reported killed in the unexpected Hamas attack on Israel on Saturday and Palestinian sympathizers demonstrated outside the president’s gates, Joe Biden hosted a barbeque night for his employees at the White House. While pro-Palestine demonstrators picketed outside the gates, yelling “Free Palestine,” and demanding that the US stop funding Israel, a pool reporter overheard a band playing from the White House lawn. ‘The President and First Lady are throwing a BBQ for White House Executive Residence workers and their families,’ a spokesperson explained in response to the reporter’s inquiry about why they could hear the band. While news of the BBQ sparked outrage online, Biden has not made any public statements after the attack on Saturday other than to confirm a phone call between himself and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The news comes as Michael Herzog, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, verified earlier reports that some Americans were missing as a result of the Hamas strike. At least four Americans were confirmed dead later on Sunday. While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) record more than 700 Israelis dead and 2,150 injured, Hamas is reportedly holding more than 100 captives. At the Supernova music festival, which was close to Kibbutz Re’im and the Gaza Strip, the terrorists gunned down as many revelers as they could, and horrible images of victims piled in a tent at the scene surfaced. Authorities estimate that between 3 and 4,000 people attended the gathering when 260 people were massacred.q2
