Taking to X, he wrote, “Visited exposition ‘Ce qui se trame - woven stories between India and France’ in Paris this evening.”

The exhibition showcases India’s textile heritage, savoir-faire and creativity. It is also a reminder of the strong India-France cultural connect," he further added.

Amid global unrest, recent US strikes on Venezuela and capturing President Nicolas Maduro and his wife in a military operation, Jaishankar’s visit to France comes as a form of preparedness and strategic strength.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that Jaishankar and Barrot will be focusing on the progress made under India-France partnership and some matters of global importance.

Jaishankar’s visit to France came months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the country in February, during which he co-chaired the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron and held bilateral talks with him.

The visit comes days after Jaishankar’s visit to Bangladesh to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who passed away last month at the age of 80.
