As the Israeli attack on the besieged Gaza strip entered Day 45, at least 12 Palestinians were killed in direct strikes by Israeli forces on an Indonesian Hospital, one of the main facilities in the northern Gaza region. Early on Monday morning, Israeli forces commenced artillery and shooting strikes on the Indonesian Hospital and its surroundings. Gaza Health Ministry said the hospital strikes have claimed at least 12 Palestinians lives so far. According to Aljazeera, citing hospital spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra, the situation is catastrophic and Israeli forces are only intensifying their attacks. “We fear Israeli forces will repeat what they did at al-Shifa Hospital… The hospital staff are insisting they will stay to treat the wounded. There are about 700 people, including medical staff and injured people, inside the hospital,” Aljazeera quoted al-Qudra as saying. In a post on X, one of the users said, “Massive shelling on & around Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. Injuries have been reported among people who’ve taken shelter in its courtyard. This small hospital is the only remaining hospital in the entirety of northern Gaza, and takes in 100s of victims every day.”

According to Press TV, citing the medical team, the Indonesian Hospital was targeted without prior warning. The strikes prompted staff at the hospital to appeal for urgent help from the United Nations and the Red Cross. Last week, Israel raided Al Shifa, Gaza’s main hospital claiming that it was a Hamas “operational center,” sharing unverified images and videos of what it said were Hamas weapons and equipment. The Israeli aggression has so far killed more than 13,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured more than 30,000 others. With inputs from agencies
