Since we get SO MUCH support from our Indian brothers and sisters, I’m unfortunately unable to thank each and every one of you personally.
Please accept this as my gratitude to all our friends🙏. https://t.co/yVy9ogVv9h
The post came moments after PM Modi and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation, during which the latter informed the Indian PM about the current situation in the Jewish country following attacks by the terrorist group Hamas. After the conversation, PM Modi, in a post on X, wrote: “I thank Prime Minister @netanyahu for his phone call and for providing an update on the ongoing situation. The people of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."
Israel said dozens of its fighter jets struck more than 200 targets overnight on Wednesday in a neighbourhood of Gaza City that it said had been used by Hamas to launch its unprecedented wave of attacks.
