Israeli attack on Damascus caused material damage, says Syria

According to a statement from the Syrian military, some material damage was caused by an Israeli airstrike that occurred early on Tuesday, targeting locations on the outskirts of Damascus. The strike originated from the Golan Heights. Israeli officials refrained from commenting immediately. Israel has increased its attacks against Iranian-backed militia in Syria, as well as on the Syrian army’s air defences and certain Syrian personnel, after the October 7 attack by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on Israeli soldiers and civilians.
