The Israel Police’s Lahav 433 unit’s cyber division, according to a statement from the police, freezed bitcoin accounts owned by Hamas Tuesday. According to the police spokesperson’s section, Hamas had been utilizing accounts to raise money on social media since Saturday. To stop terrorist organizations from exploiting cryptocurrency channels, Lahav 433 collaborated with the Defense Ministry, Shin Bet, and other intelligence organizations. Israel and the cryptocurrency exchange Binance worked together to find and terminate the accounts. Lahav 433 also collaborated with the UK authorities to halt access to a Barclays bank account.
