Islamic State operative al-Shishani may have been killed in air strike - CNN | Reuters

WASHINGTON The United States is trying to determine whether top Islamic State operative Abu Omar al-Shishani was killed in a recent air strike in which he was targeted, CNN reported, citing several unnamed U.S. officials.

CNN said the air strike was conducted on Friday near the Syrian town of al-Shaddadi.
