While the talk of the hour may be the meeting between US President Donald Trump and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, a bruise-looking mark on the back of POTUS’ right hand has grabbed attention among netizens.
When looked closely, photos of the 78-year-old president’s clasped hands from Monday’s meeting with Macron reveal what looks like a bruise concealed by makeup. The photos have sparked concerns over Trump’s health.
Some X users speculated that the markings were from an IV, while others suggested they might be due to blood-thinning medication. Some also believed they could simply be a result of ageing.
Caught a glimpse of Trump’s hand in that latest pic—yikes, that bruise is massive! Looks like an IV mark to me. Anyone else think it’s just age and meds, or is there more to the story? Spill your thoughts below! #TrumpWatch #WhatHappened pic.twitter.com/JddvcLvVoc

Trump’s hand bruise resembles when a patient is on Coumadin or another blood thinner & gets a blood draw or IV. If so it’s more medical malpractice bc he has frontotemporal dementia & is surely falling. Blood thinners & falls are a bad combo as a cerebral hemorrhage could result pic.twitter.com/lB7RdlKsPh

One user said, “To be fair my grandma also has bruises on her hands at age 79 and has had them for years. It’s just something that happens when you’re old and Trump is OLD,” while another blamed the bruising on “karma” for “making fun” of former President Joe Biden’s health.
Trump’s health has faced scrutiny on multiple occasions. As the oldest person ever inaugurated as president, he stated in August that he would “gladly” make his medical records public. However, he never followed through during the campaign.
Meanwhile, the White House has rejected claims over Trump’s ailing health, saying that the bruises on the president’s hand are a result of him shaking “a lot of hands”.
“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
