Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has directly addressed the people of Israel by posting a statement in Hebrew on X where he said that the war-struck country is becoming “helpless and confused” as it continues attacks against Hamas in Gaza. Early on Friday, Khamenei posted a statement on X, formerly Twitter, in which he said that the “Zionist entity is lying” to Israelis when they expressed their concerns about the captives held by Hamas while Israel continues to shell areas where the hostages might be held.
היישות הציונית משקרת לכם, והיא גם משקרת כשהביעה דאגה לגבי האסירים שלה אצל הפלסטינים. אלא היא גם מחסלת אותם בהפגזות שהיא עושה.

He added, “The occupying entity is helpless and confused now, and without American support will be silenced within days.” Earlier this week, Khamenei called on Muslim states to cease oil and food exports to Israel, demanding an end to its bombardment of the Gaza Strip. “The bombings on Gaza must stop immediately … the path of oil and food exports to the Zionist regime should be stopped,” Khamenei said in a speech, according to Iranian state media. Iran’s clerical rulers have warned Israel of an escalation if it failed to end aggressions against Palestinians, with authorities indicating Tehran-backed proxies in the Middle East were ready to act.
