US President Donald Trump said the conflict could end within “two to three weeks”, adding that Iran would not necessarily need to agree to a deal for the US to halt operations.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed to Al Jazeera that indirect messages have been exchanged with Washington but stressed that Tehran is not engaged in formal negotiations.
