An Indian student has been shot dead in front of a McDonald’s restaurant in Salford, Manchester. The police are currently calling it an ‘unprovoked act’ but are unsure whether it was racially motivated. The 23-year-old student was reportedly holidaying with friends. AFP”]  [/caption] The BBC reports the student has been identified as Anuj Bidve, was approached by two men, and after a short conversation was shot to death. The engineering student had been studying microelectronics in Lancaster. His parents in Pune, have reportedly been informed. The gunman, who was said to be wearing a grey top, was described as white, in his mid-20s, and of slim build. His accomplice, who wore a black jacket, was described as of heavier build. The police have appealed to the public to come forward if they have more information.
