'Imran Khan is no Kejriwal or Modi': Highlights from Firstpost Salon with Aatish Taseer

‘Imran Khan is no Kejriwal or Modi’

“People talk of Imran Khan being an Arvind Kejriwal or Narendra Modi. But how can he be that man? He’s still of the drawing man. He’s still friends with all the people he’s seeking to depose,” Taseer said.

He said that in India the anger of the middle class in India had proven to be a major mitigating factor in the case of the influence of the Indian elite.

“It never really happened in Pakistan,” he said. The author said that the degree of isolation of the elite of Lahore and Islamabad enjoyed was much greater than that which those in Delhi enjoyed.
