US President Donald Trump has revealed “the only thing” he loves about his predecessor Joe Biden.

In a candid interview with Fox News, the GOP leader praised the former president’s ‘ability to fall asleep within minutes,’ while adding that he himself could never do that.

Talking to host Laura Ingraham, Trump said, “The only thing I admired about sleepy Joe Biden is the following.”

“He’d go to a beach, lay down on a cot – barely able to get his feet through the sand – he’d lay down and within minutes he’s sleeping and have cameras watching.”

Trump acknowledged: “I could never do that”.

“I would never be able to sleep like that. That’s the only thing that I think that was wonderful.”

“It was a disaster; this man was a disaster.”

Trump then talked about his own sleep schedule. The 47th claimed he “didn’t sleep much” and had sleep of only few hours a day.

Notably, his White House physician during the 2017-2020 term, Dr. Ronny Jackson, earlier revealed Trump would sleep only for four to five hours a day.

“He’s probably been like that his whole life. He’s just one of those people who just does not require a lot of sleep,” the doctor said in a 2018 interview.

Researchers say most people need seven to eight hours of sleep daily.

However, one to three percent of the population can function with much less. These individuals are called short sleepers—and Trump might be one of them.

“A lot of people that love what they are doing don’t sleep much, I find. And so far it’s been OK,” Trump told Ingraham.

During Biden’s time in the White House, Trump repeatedly called him “Sleepy Joe.” During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump even criticised Biden for spending too much time at the beach and even sleeping in a swimsuit, according to the New York Post.

“Somebody told him he looks great in a bathing suit. Typically—typically—an 82-year-old man does not look great in a bathing suit. There may be a couple, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it,” Trump said in a rally last year.

Ukraine peace talks conclude in Abu Dhabi as Donbas issue remains unresolved

Trilateral peace talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the US ended without clear outcomes, with further negotiations planned in Abu Dhabi next week. Talks concluded after Russian strikes on Kyiv killed at least one, injured four, and left 1.2 million properties without power amid freezing temperatures. Russia repeated its demand for Ukrainian troop withdrawal from eastern regions, while Ukraine rejected any territorial concessions, leaving Donbas unresolved.
