Hillary Clinton terms day 1 of RNC as 'surreal', compares it to 'Wizard of Oz'

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday dismissed the first day of Republican National Convention in Cleveland, terming it as “surreal” and comparing it to the classic film The Wizard of Oz, reported The Washington Times. According to National Sun Journal , Clinton said that the RNC was only about sound, fury and Donald Trump who had nothing to offer to the American people. The former Secretary of State was addressing a conference of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees in Las Vegas, the report said.

According to CNN , Clinton told the audience in Las Vegas that the speakers at the RNC spent much of their time attacking her and President Obama rather than making any argument about the future of America. Pointing out Trump’s past decisions to manufacture products outside the USA, Clinton argued that his policies had hurt the interests of workers, the National Sun Journal report said.

However, the presidential hopeful steered clear of the recent controversy concerning Melania Trump’s prime-time address which came under scrutiny due to its alleged similarity to Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic convention speech.
