George, James or Psy? Royal Baby names that'll make you money

First it was a question of whether it will be a girl or a boy, then it was about the weight of the baby and the hair colour. And now, it’s time to bet on a name. Bookmakers across England differ slightly on what odds to offer, but it’s certain that the names George, James and Alexander are clear front-runners. Louis, Arthur and Henry are also in the running — while names like Edward, Oliver, David and even John are outsiders. Betfred for one, are offering odds of 9/4 on George, 5/1 on James and 8/1 on Alexander. That means if you place one pound on Alexander, you win eight pounds plus get your pound back — totaling to a nine pound return on a one pound investment. Not bad, eh? Some bookmakers are giving just 2/1 odds on James — which is three pounds less than what Betfred is offering. AP[/caption] As the Daily Mail puts it, James has links to both families, but William already has a cousin called James, who is the Earl and Countess of Wessex’s son Viscount Severn. George is quite the favourite in the royal family, has been the name of six Kings of England and was the Sovereign name of the Queen’s father too. If you are the risky type, you may go for names like Christopher, Graham, Jacob and even Paul — all of which will bring you more than £100 on your bets. Slightly safer bets, which may still bring you some good money would be Charles, Andrew and even Michael — which are all in £50 - £80 category. But if you really have money to spend, and are in a very good mood — or are feeling very funny, then a bet on the names Psy and North will rake you £5000 on every pound on Ladbrokes.
