Barack Obama and Michelle Obama dwell in popular imagination in more ways that just the President of United States of America and his wife. He is the archetypal good husband, she the supporting wife - their family straight out of a picture book. However, here’s a peek into some other aspects of the lives of the hugely popular public figures. Facts that make them seem a bit like us. — A Times of India column talks about Michelle Obama’s average housewife woes. One of them being, picking up the President’s dirty socks. “He thinks he is neat, but he has people helping him.  It’s not you who’s neat. On an MTV chat show prior to the polls, Obama had commented that Facebook, cars and boys are things that make him anxious when it comes to his daughters. Asked if elder daughter Malia, 14, was dating, the President laughed and said that he has yet not been surprised by a boyfriend. When the reporter pointed out that ‘soon the boys will come’, Obama said laughing: “Oh, well that’s why we have Secret Service.” — Obama’s elder daughter Malia Obama is a die hard fan of the teen music band One Direction. Huffington Post reports that she even invited Niall Horan to visit the White House, who couldn’t come over as he had a tight tour schedule. — You would’t imagine a President endorsing a mafia leader. Barack Obama, however, does exactly that. Godfather I & II are among his favourite films, like is Marlon Brando as Don Corleone. There is little doubt about his penchant for textbook romance - so _Casablanc_a also figures among his favourites.  His other favourites are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Lawrence of Arabia.
