So you’ve got nothing to do this evening, and you have to pretend you have a meeting/ you’re not well/ you’re out of town? There are millions like you and we’ve cobbled together some great songs to make you feel better. Here they are.[caption id=“attachment_212854” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Not for everyone. Reuters”] [/caption] Terrible, isn’t it? When you have a loaded wallet and nobody to go out with? Here’s Cat Stevens on another Saturday night with lots of money. She doesn’t want to meet you. And doesn’t come to the phone (in those old, analog, pre-mobile days) and you have to talk to — her mother! Great voice. Dr. Hook. The two of you go to bed, and when you wake up, she’s gone! Tough. Akon tells you how tough. You find her diary—and you read about how much she loves you. You read on and on and discover—that it isn’t you she writes about. Syrupy sweet Bread. The shoe’s on the other foot, and Dylan tells her it’s all over.
There are millions like you and we’ve cobbled together some great songs to make you feel better.
