Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX was accused of sexual relationships with three women colleagues, one of whom he later hired in his executive team, according to a WSJ exclusive report. It said, Musk sent persuasive texts to invite the woman for sex at his home.
Additionally, another employee alleged similar involvement with Musk, while a third woman claimed Musk repeatedly asked her to have his children, upon refusing she was denied a raise and was asked to improve her work.
The report further details allegations involving SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell, who reportedly accused one of the women involved with Musk of having an affair with her husband. Upon the woman’s complaint to HR, Shotwell allegedly requested her removal from the CEO’s office.
The Journal’s investigation, based on interviews with over 48 individuals and supported by text messages, emails, and other documents, sheds light on a culture of harassment and inappropriate behavior within SpaceX. Musk declined to comment on the allegations, while Shotwell disputed the portrayal of SpaceX’s work environment, saying that the company hadles such matters with required caution and sensitivity.
The report claimed that a woman who worked at SpaceX received repeated invitations from Elon Musk to come to his house at night, as per a text exchange.
