PM’s wife wasn’t home: PMO
In a brief statement over the matter, the PMO made it clear that Netanyahu and his wife were not at home at the time of the attack. The office reiterated the military’s claim that no injuries were reported in the incident, The Times of Israel reported. It is pertinent to note that the drone attack took place just days after Hamas’s chief Yahya Sinwar was killed in Gaza, giving a major blow to the Palestinian group.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah is itself reeling after the demise of the group’s head Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli strike in the suburbs of Beirut. The IDF stated that it is currently investigating the matter and the residence of the Israeli premier has been cordoned off. The recent attack triggered sirens in Tel Aviv.
According to the reports, before the explosion took place, locals said that a loud explosion was heard in the seaside town. The authorities stated that Warning sirens were not activated in the region at that time and they are currently investigating the impact site of the drone attack.
Meanwhile, in Lebanon, the country’s health ministry said that at least two people were killed in an alleged strike on a car in Jounieh, north of Beirut. The authorities mentioned that this was the first time IDF attacked the area. The Israeli military is yet to comment on the matter.
