Heard about Donald Trump, but got no time for American politics? No sweat ! His blonde mop just made it to the cover of the Economist. Seems like he’s not alone with his hairdo. Here’s a delightful fan club — check out this link! [caption id=“attachment_2442126” align=“alignleft” width=“400”]
@Economist TWitter handle.[/caption] Liked the hair, and want to know what this guy’s about on election issues? Read on. On himself: “I play to people’s fantasies, I call it truthful hyperbole” “It’s very possible that I could be the first presidential candidate to run and make money on it.” A decade ago, he said “I identify more as a Democrat.” Now, he is Republican. On abortion: “I’m very pro-choice. I’m very pro-life.” On trade: “Every single country that does business with us is ripping America off.” “The money China took out of the United States is the greatest theft in the history of our country.” On guns: “Look, there’s nothing I like better than nobody has them.” On Carly Fiorina: “She can’t run any of my companies, that I can tell you.” On Mexicans: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.“ None of this explains why he’s the most preferred Republican candidate by far. Latest national polls show he’s at 34 percent with Florina closest at 19 percent. It also doesn’t explain why his numbers saw the first decline after last week’s candidates debate.
