Following the attack by Hamas, Denmark will be prepared to dispatch a military plane on Wednesday to evacuate its residents as well as those who have permanent residence in Denmark from Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, according to the Danish foreign ministry. A spokeswoman for the foreign ministry told the media that a C-130 Hercules cargo jet had been made available for the evacuation and might be prepared to take off from Denmark in a matter of hours, though the exact time of the departure was still unknown. According to the ministry, there are currently about 1,200 Danes in Israel and an additional 90 in the Palestinian territories. According to the Danish armed forces website, a C-130 plane can accommodate about 120 passengers. (With agency inputs)
