Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha have lunch at Polzeath during their summer holiday in North Cornwall, on Sunday.[/caption] Since becoming premier Cameron has visited Cornwall every year, and each year something has gone wrong. The first time on 12 June 2008 Cameron’s shadow home secretary David Davis quit, to fight a by-election in protest at Labour attacks on civil liberties. The last time Cameron was there on 29 March 2012 an outcry broke out over plans to put VAT on pasties. But Cameron is not a man to be unfazed and left for Cornwall with his wife Samantha on Sunday, the 25th of August. They have since reaching Cornwall braved heavy showers even as his advisers keep their fingers crossed.
