Crimea plans turning Ukraine President Zelenskyy's old house into anti-Nazi museum

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s former apartment in Crimea may soon be transformed into a museum dedicated to combating ‘Nazism’. Vladimir Konstantinov, head of Crimea’s parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, in an interview on Rossiya 24 TV channel, suggested that converting the apartment into a museum would serve as a lasting “vaccination against Nazism” and a warning about the consequences faced by those who take extremist actions too far. He acknowledged that the property was unlikely to be purchased by an ordinary family, comparing it to acquiring “Hitler’s apartment.” Konstantinov also noted that while the apartment held symbolic value for Zelenskyy, it was not particularly valuable in material terms, especially for a billionaire. This proposal follows an earlier announcement by Konstantinov that around 100 nationalized properties formerly belonging to Ukrainian oligarchs, businessmen, and politicians with links to the Kyiv government or deemed “unfriendly to Russia” would be auctioned off soon. He revealed that over 700 such properties had already been nationalized by regional authorities. Konstantinov added that eight of these properties had been sold for over 800 million rubles ($8.3 million), emphasizing that the Crimean counter-terrorism commission would continue to identify assets owned by Ukrainian oligarchs. He stated, “We will not allow these individuals who fund the killing of Russian citizens and support the terrorist Kyiv regime to profit from our residents. We will transfer these properties to new, responsible owners.”
