Beijing: India-China will sign an agreement to jointly produce a mega film on the life and times of famous Chinese Buddhist Monk Xuan Zang’s 17-year-long journey to India in sixth century during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Stated to be a big budget film with top star cast, the movie will be a joint production between state-run China Film Group and India’s EROS. The MOU of the film, starring China’s famous actor Huang Xiaoming, is expected to be signed at the business and investment get together, to be addressed by Modi during his visit to Shanghai on May 16. The Indian cast may include mega star Amitabh Bachchan. The shooting for the film is expected to begin on May 25, officials told PTI. Both the Shanghai Film Group and Eros are expected to sign an agreement to do more co-productions in the future. Already, a movie titled “Kung Fu Yoga” featuring Hollywood star Jackie Chan is being made under the joint production. (with inputs from PTI)
