It was not just author J K Rowling who slammed News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch over his controversial tweet over the Charlie Hebdo attack earlier this week. It all started with this:
Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.
— Rupert Murdoch (@rupertmurdoch) January 10, 2015
Deemed racist, the tweet trended on social media after Indian-origin comedian-actor Aziz Ansari lambasted the media mogul on Twitter. Murdoch’s comment came in the wake of terror attack in Paris which shocked the entire world. The attackers killed seven civilians in the dastardly act. Not only did Murdoch’s insensitive tweet attract its fair share of criticism on social media, Ansari waged a war on Murdoch and called him a “racist piece of shit.” The actor also started #RupertsFault which became one of the top trending topics on Twitter.
@rupertmurdoch Quit back peddling you racist piece of shit

Political correctness makes for denial and hypocrisy.

— Aziz Ansari (@azizansari) January 12, 2015
The actor-and-comedian, according to this article in Mediate, was born in South Carolina to a Tamil Muslim family originally from India. Ansari just did not stop at retweeting Murdoch’s biased tweets, he started #RupertsFault to show, as this Jezebel article says “how utterly full of crap Murdoch is.”
