The BJP-led Union government has revamped the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) just days after the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 people — mostly innocent tourists — were killed by Pakistan-based terrorists.

Former R&AW chief Alok Joshi has been appointed as the Chairman of the newly constituted seven-member board.

From the Indian Police Service, Rajiv Ranjan Verma and Manmohan Singh have been inducted. The board also includes B Venkatesh Varma, a seasoned diplomat and retired Indian Foreign Service officer.
