In a distressing incident caught on camera, an individual of Indian origin has been apprehended in Hong Kong for allegedly assaulting a South Korean tourist who was live-streaming her visit to the city. The shocking incident unfolded during the woman’s day trip in Hong Kong, as she broadcasted her experiences.

The woman had been waiting at a tram stop in the Central area when an unfamiliar man approached her, initially inquiring about directions in a friendly manner. However, the situation took a sinister turn when the man began to encroach on the vlogger’s personal space and insisted she accompany him.

Some social media users have identified the man in the video as Amit Jariyal. According to reports, the man, employed as a waiter, was apprehended on Belcher’s Street in Kennedy Town on Tuesday and is currently detained on suspicion of indecent assault and causing public outrage.

As per reports, he forcibly grasped her hand and urged, “Listen, come with me. I’m alone,” attempting to engage in inappropriate physical contact. The visibly uncomfortable woman strenuously resisted, repeatedly shouting, “No, No, No.”

Despite her distress, the man persistently followed her. The situation escalated when they descended a stairwell at the metro station. Near the station steps, he forcefully cornered her against a wall and insisted, “I am alone. Come with me.”

“I’m not alone,” cried the vlogger, continuously attempting to fend off the man. He then proceeded to assault her by grabbing her chest and forcibly kissing her. When the woman cried out for help, the accused was seen fleeing the scene.
