Car bomb explodes near security official's home in Yemeni port - newspaper | Reuters

DUBAI A car bomb exploded on Sunday outside the home of the director of security for the southern Yemeni port city of Aden, the local Aden al-Ghad newspaper reported, publishing a picture of a thick plume of black smoke near a beach.

"Eyewitnesses told Aden al-Ghad that the car bomb detonated in the vicinity of the house where (Shelal Ali) Shayyeh lives ... The explosion led to deaths and injuries," the paper reported, without elaborating.
