British Airways pilot gets flying ban for bragging he 'snorted cocaine off woman's breasts before trying to fly plane'

A British Airways pilot was sacked after being accused of boasting about taking cocaine from a woman’s chest before he was scheduled to fly a passenger-full plane. The First Officer supposedly confided in a stewardess he knew well, admitting that he had behaved badly. He had been set to pilot a plane from South Africa to London, but the flight had to be canceled, costing the airline about £100,000, after the incident came to light. Following the incident, he is said to have returned the next day as a passenger but was later dismissed after testing positive for drugs at Heathrow. The married father of one had traveled to Johannesburg, and it was during his break before heading back to the UK that he allegedly got involved in this drug and sex scandal. In text messages to a crew member, he disclosed the events of the night and his alleged inappropriate behavior. He claimed that he had met two local men, a Welsh tourist, and a young Spanish woman at a nightclub in Johannesburg. According to The Sun, the pilot stated, “We all walked (staggered) back to the hotel bar for ‘one last drink before bed.’ The Welsh woman and one of the local men were getting along well, but she had told him that I was her boyfriend. After a few drinks at the bar, there was some kissing, and somehow we all ended up at this guy’s apartment. The Welsh woman had decided that I should be her boyfriend, and the Spanish woman had paired up with one of the local men and was getting intimate on their sofa.” He went on to describe how he decided to undress as the women danced topless, and then they started using cocaine. He reportedly said, “I somehow lost my shirt, and one of the local men brought out a plate with a few lines of cocaine. There was then a discussion about whose chest would be best for taking a hit.” He added, “That’s how I ended up snorting cocaine off a girl’s chest in Johannesburg.” He also claimed to have been so exhausted the following day that he couldn’t get up until 2 pm. British Airways (BA) confirmed to Sky news Wednesday that the pilot in question is no longer employed by the airline. In a statement, BA emphasized, “Safety is consistently our utmost concern. The case was reported to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and the individual is no longer part of our team.” Furthermore, the airline revealed that the flight departing from Johannesburg experienced an overnight delay as they sought a replacement first officer to operate the flight.
