Australian police have brought charges against Brandon Maseuli and Yousef Rima, linking them to a purported conspiracy to murder four members of the renowned rap group OneFour. The accused, part of an international criminal syndicate originating in Lebanon, faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to murder, kidnapping, directing a criminal group, and various drug and robbery-related offenses. Arrested in Sydney, Maseuli, 26, and Rima, 20, are alleged to have conspired to kill four high-profile members of OneFour – Jerome “J Emz” Misa, Pio “YP” Misa, Spencer “Spenny” Magalogo, and Dahcell “Celly” Ramos. Notably, Salec “Lekks” Su’a, the fifth member, was not targeted, raising questions about the motive. Authorities are seeking an arrest warrant for a 22-year-old believed to be offshore. The police assert that the plot stems from a conflict between the rap group and the criminal syndicate’s Sydney cell, discovered during a broader investigation. The syndicate is accused of engaging in violent crimes, including kidnappings and drug-related activities, with ties to a significant cocaine seizure weighing over 722kg. The alleged murder conspiracy was revealed as part of an ongoing probe into the activities of the Sydney cell. Maseuli and Rima faced the Liverpool Local Court, where they were denied bail. OneFour, known for their dark-themed and violent lyrics, have encountered previous clashes with the Australian police, leading to the cancellation of a national tour in 2019 due to safety concerns expressed by law enforcement.
