Armed rebels in Cameroon kill two civilians over 'spying for the army'

Armed separatists in Cameroon claim to have murdered two kidnapped civilians accused of spying for the army. An investigation is underway, according to a local administration in the northwestern village of Guzang. This comes after the release of a video showing two guys sitting on a road and then being shot dead at close range. Since 2017, separatists have been fighting in Cameroon’s two English-speaking regions. Over 800,000 people have been displaced. Human rights organizations have condemned government soldiers and separatists for deaths, rapes, torture, and the destruction of homes and schools.
