Ukraine has dismissed Russia’s claim that Kyiv was behind the missile strike on an Indian pharma company’s warehouse, calling Moscow’s justification “legally wrong, cynical, and incompetent.”

The Ukrainian Embassy in New Delhi said in a post on X that the Russian Embassy was “pretending to be involved in planning airstrikes on Ukraine."

“Any attempt to justify terror is legally untenable, cynical in essence, and pathetic in terms of competence. A senior criminal would never confess in their crimes. Russia’s arguments have no credibility. It seems that the Russian Embassy in India is now pretending to be involved in planning airstrikes on Ukraine," the Ukrainian Embassy in New Delhi said.

Earlier, in a war of accusations and counteraccusations, the Russian Embassy in India denied Ukraine’s claim that Russian forces intentionally struck an Indian pharma company’s warehouse in Kyiv. It said the fire may have been caused by Ukraine’s own air defence missiles.

Ukraine’s embassy said Russia might again call the attack a “mistake” — just like it did after the Palm Sunday strike on Sumy — and added, “Maybe Washington will believe them again.”

It also said that Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office has launched a criminal case into the destruction of the Indian pharma company, Kusum.

The blame game began after Ukraine said a Russian missile struck the company’s warehouse in Kyiv last Saturday.
