Amid the Israel-Hamas war, a Pakistani woman lawmaker has urged the cash-strapped country’s prime minister to give a “stern warning” to Israel to “end the atrocities on Palestine” or else it would be “erased from the map of the world.” In the viral video, the woman lawmaker from Pakistan could be seen making a strong statement in the country’s Assembly. In her statement, she made a remark about Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities and the country’s commitment to protecting Muslims. In the undated video, the Pakistani woman lawmaker is heard saying: “Pakistan is an atomic power. These atom bombs have not been kept to show but to protect Muslims and Pakistan. I urge the Prime Minister of Pakistan to warn Israel to end the atrocities on Palestine and their capture or else we will erase Israel from the map of the world.”

The Pakistani woman lawmaker’s video went viral within days after the son-in-law of the country’s former prime minister Nawaz Sharif asked the people of his nation to get ready for the Jihad and back the Muslims in Palestine. Sharif’s son-in-law Captain Safdar, addressing a pro-Palestine rally in Peshawar on Saturday also had said: “Pakistan’s nuclear weapon was not only for Pakistan, but for all Muslims.” “Today, people in Palestine are looking at you…tell the Muslims of Gaza that we are with you. The Muslims of Gaza, we are with you. We are with oppressed Palestinians,” Safdar had said. Several rallies were held in Pakistan to back Palestinians. Last Friday, hundreds of Pakistanis took to the streets in several parts of the country to voice their protest against Israel’s bombing of Gaza. On Sunday, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif condemned Israel’s war against Hamas and said the bombing in Gaza must stop immediately. “We appeal to the OIC nations to provide food and medicines to Palestinians urgently. We all support an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.” The war that began October 7 has become the deadliest of five Gaza wars for both sides, with more than 4,000 dead. The Gaza Health Ministry said 2,750 Palestinians have been killed and 9,700 wounded. More than 1,400 Israelis have been killed, and at least 199 others, including children, were captured by Hamas and taken into Gaza, according to Israel. With inputs from agencies
