Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office has denied the claim that he flew to India for the G20 Summit with a “plane full of cocaine.” “This is absolutely false and a troubling example of how disinformation can make its way into media reporting,” his office said in a statement to the Toronto Sun. The statement comes after former Indian diplomat Deepak Vohra alleged that Trudeau flew to India in a plane full of cocaine and “hid in his room for two days.” Vohra backed his claim by saying that there were “credible rumours” that “sniffer dogs found cocaine on his plane.” “He didn’t go to the president’s dinner. People say he was in a drug-induced stupor,” he told Zee News. The Canadian prime minister landed in New Delhi on September 8 to attend the G20 Summit. He was accompanied by his 16-year-old son Xavier. “He has become lonely. He is now trying to show that he is a Canadian Rambo and nothing can go wrong in his presence. India has done the right thing by suspending visa services in Canada,” Vohra added. The claims come amid the India-Canada diplomatic standoff which was triggered after Trudeau alleged that the Indian government has “links” with the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
