In yet another example of Hamas hiding behind civilian infrastructure, Israeli Forces claimed to have gunned down three terrorists who were hiding inside the Ibn Sina hospital in Jenin in West Bank and who were planning an October 7-like attack. According to reports, the operation was carried out jointly by the IDF, Shin Bet and Yamam special police unit. Media reports said the IDF took just 10 minutes to take out the three terrorists. The Israeli forces, reportedly, entered the hospital under a ruse. Dressed as doctors, nurses and Palestinian women, the IDF troops pretended they were going to a hiding room on the third floor. The op was carried out in silence with guns fitted with suppressors. A report in the Times of Israel identified one of the three killed as Muhammad Jalamneh, 27, who was planning to arm shooters for an attack and was previously injured while making a car bomb. He is said to be in contact with Hamas’ foreign headquarters. The report referred to some Hebrew media outlets as claiming that Jalamneh was a spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing in the Jenin camp. The IDF identified the rest as brothers Muhammad and Basel Ghazawi. While Muhammad was allegedly involved in shooting incidents on Israeli forces, Basel was, reportedly, a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The Israeli military cited the elimination of these three at a hospital as “another example of the cynical use by terror groups of civilian spaces and hospitals as cover and as human shields.” In another incident, the IDF troops located a tunnel used to attack the Israeli soldiers that ran under Gaza’s Bani Suheila Cemetery. The 1-km-long underground tunnel housed an office “where a Hamas battalion commander managed the October 7 massacre and a command and control center, among other terrorist infrastructure,” the IDF posted in X.

In the past couple of days several desperate attacks by Hamas-affiliated terrorists have taken place targeting the IDF. IDF killed four terrorists who were preparing to carry out an attack on soldiers near the Al-Amal Hospital in Gaza. A terrorist who attempted to carry out a ramming attack adjacent to an IDF base in northern Israel was also neutralised. The terror suspect tried to exit his vehicle and attack adjacent troops with an axe, before being shot to death.
