A Singapore Airlines aircraft from London to Singapore was hit by extreme turbulence on Monday leading to the death of a passenger. In addition, several dozen passengers were injured in the incident.

The Boeing 777-300ER carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members had to make an emergency landing in Bangkok due to erratic weather during the flight.

Emergency services arrived in Bangkok at 3:45 PM local time on Tuesday and handled the situation quickly. Singapore Airlines sent the family of the deceased passenger their sincere condolences and reaffirmed that providing the impacted passengers and staff with all required support is their top priority.

“Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," the airline posted on social media platform X.

According to the most recent information, attempts are being made to work with Thai local authorities to supply critical medical assistance to individuals hurt during the tumultuous incident. Additionally, Singapore Airlines is sending a specialized team to Bangkok in case further assistance is required.
