The city-state has emerged first on the list as its passport holders are granted visa-free access to 195 destinations. 

Japan

People with Japanese passports have an open door to 193 countries, which has landed it second on the list.

France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, South Korea

All these countries have tied for third place, with passport-holders granted visa-free entry to 192 nations. 

Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway

All these nations have ranked fourth on the world’s most powerful passport list. 

Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, United Kingdom

With access to 190 countries, these nations come in fifth on the index. 

Greece, Australia 

With unrestricted access to 189 destinations, these countries are ranked sixth on the list.

United States

America comes in at ninth position, sharing this rank with Estonia. 

India

India’s passport has slipped from 80th to 85th in 2025, providing visa-free access to 57 countries. It now shares its position with Equatorial Guinea and Niger.

Pakistan

Pakistan, ranked 103 alongside Yemen, offers visa-free access to 33 destinations.

Afghanistan 

Afghanistan remains at the bottom, with only 26 destinations accessible without a visa.
